Mae enw f'Anwylyd mor anwyl mor fawr

Mae enw f'Anwylyd
    mor anwyl, mor fawr,
Hyfrydwch y nefoedd,
    hyfrydwch y llawr;
  Ni dderfydd ei garu,
      ni dderfydd ei glod,
  Tra bo nef y nefoedd,
      a bydoedd, mewn bod.

Wel, bellach mi gredaf
    er nad wyf ond gwan,
Edrychaf o ddyfnder
    y ddaear i'r lan;
  Agorodd o'i gariad
      ffordd newydd a byw,
  O ganol tywyllwch
      i fynwes fy Nuw.

Cawn wared o'n hadfyd
    a'n gofid i gyd,
O derfysg, a dwndwr,
    a chynnwrf y byd;
  'Ddaw blinder, na thrallod,
      na phechod, na phoen,
  Na gelyn, na gormes,
      i fynwes yr Oen.

  Cawn ddianc o'n hadfyd a'n gofid i gyd
  Mi ge's y Ffrynd goreu fyth fyth all'sai fod
  Wel bellach mi gredaf er nad wyf ond gwan
  Y clod y gogoniant y gallu o bob rhyw

The name of my Beloved,
    so dear, so great,
The delight of the heavens,
    the delight of the earth;
  His love shall never die away,
      his praise shall never die away,
  While ever the heaven of heavens,
      and worlds are in being.

See, henceforth I will belief
    although I am only weak,
I will look from the depths
    of the earth upwards;
  He opened from his love
      a new and living way,
  From the centre of darkness
      to the bosom of my God.

We shall get deliverance from our adversity
    and all our grief,
From the tumult and clamour,
    and commotion of the world;
  No weariness, or trouble,
      or sin, or pain shall come,
  Nor enemy, nor oppression,
      to the bosom of the Lamb.

O Jesus, we love Thee,
  To Thee will we sing;
Let earth, as the heaven,
  Its best tribute bring.
The light of Thy countenance
  Shineth so bright,
That now and forever
  We need no more light.

I will no more tremble,
  For Thou art so near,
Though the depth where I am
  Deprives me of cheer;
Looking to Jesus,
  In his love I can see
A way from this dungeon
  To heaven for me.
